Biografía

I am a Ramón y Cajal fellow (Textos sagrados del judaism y el islam) at ILC, specializing in Arabic philology. In my research, I follow the example of brilliant scholars in my field from the not so distant past, who did not limit themselves to one narrow topic in linguistics or literature but, instead, researched on a wide range of topics within the realm of Arabic and Islamic Studies - history, Islam, language (classical Arabic and dialectology), literature. Thanks to the classical education I received, I have the expertise to work in various fields of scholarship related to Arabic philology. In addition, I combine my knowledge of traditional Arabic and Islamic Studies with an understanding of current trends in humanities - cognitive linguistics, multimodal analysis, and narrative studies.

Work experience and education: researcher at ICS/University of Navarra (2019-2025), MSCA fellow at ICS/University of Navarra (2017-2019), faculty adjunct at UHCL (USA) (2015-2017), PhD from Tilburg University, lic.phil. in Arabic philology and Islamic Studies from Institute for African and Asian Studies - University of Helsinki, M.A in Arabic philology and Islamic Studies from St. Petersburg State University.
