In recent decades, new horizons have been opened for research in the Humanities and more generally for the modes of production and communication of specialized knowledge. Gnosis is a newly formed transdisciplinary research group whose objective is the study of the theory and practice of culture around literary fact, theater, cinema, performance and the arts. In the context of the development of modern knowledge societies, the historical changes in our modes of representation and configuration of new aesthetic and ethical paradigms are questioned, as well as the role of art in the transformations and challenges of future societies. It is born, in short, with the commitment to make research a public service in relation to the problems of today's society, such as care ethics, cultural ecology and the crisis of institutional policy.
